This episode’s guest

Dr. Steph is a pediatric and prenatal chiropractor and founded the Cafe of Life in order to bring community and connection to local families with a love for natural health care.   She’s extremely passionate about chiropractic care for the whole family and has extensive training in pregnancy, fertility, postpartum, infants and breastfeeding, and is currently training to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She holds advanced certifications in pediatrics and pregnancy through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. With the various types of conditions and ages of our patients she has a deep desire to deliver masterful adjusting skills and has a broad range of adjusting abilities, from the most gentle techniques to the traditional heavier adjusting styles. She and her husband Dean have two kiddos, Aubree born in 2016 and Roland born in 2018. As a mother she’s able to connect with many mothers who have gone through tough times, from miscarriage, to birth plans gone awry, postpartum depression, breastfeeding challenges and so much more. The Cafe of Life is much more than your average chiropractic office. It’s a place to connect, bond, and grow… together. If chiropractic were a love language, it would be hers. She has served on several chiropractic mission trips around the world, she maintains membership with organizations such as the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, International Federation of Chiropractors & Organizations and supports organizations like the Spinal Research Foundation, Life Chiropractic College West and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic Research Facility. If you’re not careful she will nerd-out on all things chiropractic, babies and birth! She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery and is the President of a local non-profit birth center within Tourmaline Birth and Wellness Collective, a new birthing center in Pacific Beach. On her off times you can catch her trekking around Pacific Beach with the kiddos, playing at the parks and beaches and drinking coconut milk lattes. Her parents are Australian and British and you’ll often see them around the office, especially during Christmas when her dad (who is a professional Santa) visits for photos!
