Immune Support Gummy Recipe
It seems to be a natural law of the universe that kids love gummies. And what’s not to love?! They are sweet and squishy, easily portable and packable, and a convenient snack to offer on the go. Unfortunately, standard gummies from the grocery store are often loaded with sugar and filled with other undesirable ingredients like artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives that work against the immune system.
BUT…
What if we told you there was a delicious gummy option that kids would not only love but was also a nutritious, immune-boosting snack without the junk? Game-changer right?
We’re thrilled to share a simple recipe for homemade immune-support gummies using nourishing ingredients. These gummies are so great that even adults can’t resist… and they don’t have to!
The Secret Ingredient
Most gummies offer little in the way of nutrition so the key to taking gummies from junk food to superfood is choosing ingredients the body can use to support the immune response. Some of our favorite evidence-based, immune supporting ingredients are:
- Elderberry: Rich in antioxidants and has antiviral properties that can reduce the severity and duration of illnesses like colds and flu.
- Zinc: Plays a crucial role in supporting immune cell function and helps the body fight off infections effectively, even stopping the replication of some viruses in their tracks.
- Pre and postbiotics: Prebiotics fuel beneficial gut bacteria, while postbiotics provide compounds that directly enhance gut and immune health, forming a strong defense system.
Research shows these ingredients can offer comprehensive support when it comes to dealing with seasonal germs like cold and flu. We love Needed Immune Support Powder because it contains all of these amazing ingredients and is safe for everyone over the age of 1 year, including pregnant and breastfeeding mamas!
In addition to the gummies, Needed Immune Support Powder can be used in a variety of kid-friendly ways—mix it into smoothies, popsicles, yogurt, or even just water. This makes it an easy way to incorporate immune support into daily routines.

Easy Immune-Support Gummy Recipe
These gummies are a great blend of convenience and kid-approved to help ensure the immune system is always supported. Even better is they can be an easy option for breakfast, a snack, or even as a lunchbox addition. Here’s how to make them:
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups of grape juice (or any organic berry juice—look for juice not made from concentrate)
- 4 tablespoons of gelatin
- 5 scoops of Needed Immune Support Powder (can substitute elderberry syrup)
Directions:
- In a small saucepan, combine the juice and gelatin over medium-low heat, stirring continuously until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Add the elderberry/Needed Immune Support Powder to the mixture and stir until well blended. (Avoid adding the powder to boiling liquid to preserve its active ingredients.)
- Pour the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow glass dish.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until the gummies are firm.
- Once set, remove the gummies from the molds or cut them into bite-sized pieces if using a dish.
Serving Suggestions
This recipe yields approximately 45 gummies, depending on the mold size. The molds used in this recipe equate to about nine gummies per serving of Needed’s Immune Support Powder. For younger children (ages 1-3), half a serving—about 4-5 gummies—is just right.
These immune-boosting gummies are a fun, tasty, and convenient way to keep your family healthy during the busy months ahead. Enjoy!
